Instrument Panel Center Vents, Vehicles with Climatronic, Rabbit from MY 2004

Removal

- Switch off ignition.

- Pry sensor - 1 - out of indirect ventilation - 2 - using trim removal wedge (3409).





- Disconnect wiring harness from sunlight photo sensor.

- Remove bolt - 3 - (1.5 Nm).

• To provide a better overview, components are shown removed in the following illustration.

- Insert two trim removal wedges (3409) as shown in seam between indirection ventilation - 1 - and vent - 2 -.

- Press metal clips - 3 - and - 4 - back with trim removal wedge (3409) and remove indirect ventilation upward out of mounts in vent - arrow -.





- Remove the two bolts - 1 - (1.5 Nm).

- Remove vent - 2 - in front area from mounts.

- Place two trim removal wedges (3409) in lower vent seam - arrows - and press vent upward out of instrument panel mounts.

- Press the corresponding catches and disconnect wiring harnesses from passenger airbag warning light switch and indicator light.





Installation

- To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.
