Removal

Removing the muffler




Only applies at the first change:
Cut between the front and rear exhaust pipe sections. Cut 125 mm from the rubber mounting towards the front muffler.

Remove:
- the three rubber mountings from the muffler
- the muffler.
Applies to the second or later changes:

Remove:
- the 2 x M10 nuts for the clamp between the front and rear muffler
- the three rear rubber mountings from the muffler
- the muffler.

Hint: Tap carefully around the joint to crack any rust and soot deposits in the joint. Use a hammer.

Remove the muffler.

Installation

Installing the muffler

Note! To ensure there is no exhaust leakage, see: Flanged joint, assembling Flanged Joint, Assembling

Install:
- the tail pipe
- the three rubber mountings
- the 2 x M10 nuts for the clamp between the front and rear muffler.
