Customize Parameters [12/2019 - 11/2023]

  1. CUSTOMIZE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SYSTEM 
    1. Customizing with the GTS
      NOTE:
      • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
      • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.
      • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.
      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      3. Turn the blind spot monitor system on.
      4. Turn the GTS on.
      5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Blind Spot Monitor Master or Blind Spot Monitor Slave / Utility / Warning.
      6. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        BSM Buzzer Volume Adjust Sets the volume of the RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer). Medium 001:Low, 011:Medium, 101:High Blind Spot Monitor Sensor RH (slave)
        BSM Mirror Indicator Brightness Sets the brightness of the indicators in the outer rear view mirror assemblies. Bright 001:Dark, 101:Bright Blind Spot Monitor Sensor LH (master)
        RCTA Function Switches the RCTA function on and off.* ON 0:ON, 1:OFF Blind Spot Monitor Sensor LH (master)
        BSM Approaching Vehicle Detection Timing Setting Sets the notification timing for vehicles approaching from behind the vehicle. Middle 00:Only Blind Spot, 01:Late, 10:Middle, 11:Early Blind Spot Monitor Sensor LH (master)
        1. *: If the RCTA function is turned off, the RCTAB function of the parking support brake system also turns off.
    2. Customizing with multi-information display
      NOTE:
      • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
      • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.
      • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.
      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      2. Turn the blind spot monitor system on.
      3. Enter the following menus: Setting / Vehicle Setting / BSM.
      4. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
        BLIND SPOT MONITOR SETTING

        Display Description Default Setting ECU
        Brightness Sets the brightness of the indicators in the outer rear view mirror assemblies. Bright Dark or Bright Blind Spot Monitor Sensor LH (master)
        Volume* Sets the volume of the RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer). 2 3, 2, 1 or off Blind Spot Monitor Sensor RH (slave)
        Sensitivity Sets the notification timing for vehicles approaching from behind the vehicle. Middle Early, Middle, Late or Only Blind Spot Blind Spot Monitor Sensor RH (slave)
        1. *: Not applicable to vehicles without the intuitive parking assist system.
