DTC C1AE4-87: Ultrasonic Sensor (Front Right Corner) Missing Message [12/2019 - 11/2023]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE CONDITION AND WORK DETAILS CHECK 
    1. Check the vehicle condition and work details.

  2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (ULTRASONIC SENSOR) 
    1. Check that the connector is properly connected to the front corner ultrasonic sensor and front center ultrasonic sensor.

  6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH - FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH) 
    1. Disconnect the B3 front center ultrasonic sensor RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the B4 front corner ultrasonic sensor RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B3-1 (BO) - B4-4 (BI) Always Below 1 Ω
      B3-2 (SO) - B4-5 (SI) Always Below 1 Ω
      B3-3 (EO) - B4-6 (EI) Always Below 1 Ω

  7. REPLACE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH 
    1. Replace the front corner ultrasonic sensor RH with a new or normally functioning one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 11/2023]

      HINT: 

      To check if the ultrasonic sensor is functioning correctly, replace it with another ultrasonic sensor.
