Removal [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    See step  1

  2. REMOVE PIPING CLAMP (for Suction Hose Sub-assembly Side) 
    1. for Low Pressure:
      1. While pressing the end of the suction hose sub-assembly into the end of the suction pipe sub-assembly, use pliers to squeeze together both sides of the piping clamp until it breaks apart.

        NOTE:
        • If any foreign matter is attached to the connected parts, brush it off or use compressed air to remove it before disconnecting the parts.
        • Make sure that fragments of the piping clamp do not enter the piping.
      2. Disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        Remove any foreign matter from the connecting parts of the suction hose sub-assembly and suction pipe sub-assembly.

      3. Remove the 2 O-rings from the suction hose sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts with vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

      4. Remove the piping clamp.
      5. Install SST to the piping clamp as shown in the illustration.

        *1 Suction Pipe Sub-assembly
        *2 No. 1 Air Conditioning Accessory Assembly
        • SST: 09870-00015 
      6. Hold the suction pipe sub-assembly and No. 1 air conditioning accessory assembly with each hand and push in SST with both thumbs.
        NOTE:

        Do not apply excessive force to the suction pipe sub-assembly or No. 1 air conditioning accessory assembly as they may bend.

        *a Push in
      7. Raise the stopper of SST and remove SST and the piping clamp together from the No. 1 air conditioning accessory assembly.

        *a Stopper
        *b Pull off
      8. Remove the piping clamp from SST.
      9. Disconnect the suction pipe sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        Remove any foreign matter from the connecting parts of the No. 1 air conditioning accessory assembly and suction pipe sub-assembly.

      10. Remove the 2 O-rings from the suction pipe sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

    2. for High Pressure:
      1. Install SST to the piping clamp as shown in the illustration.

        *1 Cooler Refrigerant Liquid Pipe A
        *2 No. 1 Air Conditioning Accessory Assembly
      2. Hold the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A and No. 1 air conditioning accessory assembly with each hand and push in SST with both thumbs.
        NOTE:

        Do not apply excessive force to the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A or No. 1 air conditioning accessory assembly as they may bend.

      3. Raise the stopper of SST and remove SST and the piping clamp together from the No. 1 air conditioning accessory assembly.

        *b Pull off
      4. Remove the piping clamp from SST.
      5. Disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
        NOTE:

        Remove any foreign matter from the connecting parts of the No. 1 air conditioning accessory assembly and cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.

      6. Remove the 2 O-rings from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  3. REMOVE PIPING CLAMP (for Cooler Refrigerant Liquid Pipe A Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [09/2020 - 10/2022]
