Installation [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

1. Check that the ignition switch is off.
2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
   WARNING:

   Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. Engage the 4 clamps to connect the airbag wire harness.

4. Insert the 3 hooks and install the curtain shield airbag assembly with 5 new bolts, a new spacer, 8 new clips (A) with pins, and engage the 2 clips (B).

   Torque: 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf) 

   NOTE:

   Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assembly when installing it.

   HINT: 

   Engage the 2 claws to install each new clip (A).

   	Install in this Direction	-	-

5. Using a needle nose pliers No. 2 or equivalent, push the 8 pins into the 8 clips (A).
   NOTE:

   • Do not damage the pins.
   • Make sure that the pins of the clips (A) are pushed in firmly.
6. Connect the airbag connector.
   NOTE:

   When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

HINT: 

When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
