Removal [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER 
    1. Turn back the deck board assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the 6 claws and 2 guides to remove the battery service hole cover.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2020 - 10/2021] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2021 - 10/2022]

  3. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY 
    1. Open the battery terminal connector cover.
    2. Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.

    3. Disconnect the battery hose from the auxiliary battery.

    4. Remove the bolt, nut and battery clamp sub-assembly.

    5. Lift the auxiliary battery along the slope to remove it as shown in the illustration.

      *a Slope
      Lift and pull in this direction
    6. w/ Battery Insulator:
      1. Remove the battery insulator from the auxiliary battery.
