Removal [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2020 - 10/2022]

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2020 - 10/2022]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2020 - 10/2022]

  4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2020 - 10/2022]

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [09/2020 - 10/2022]

  6. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AIR DUCT 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the transmission oil cooler air duct from the oil cooler assembly.
  7. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose and No. 2 transmission oil cooler hose from the oil cooler assembly.

      *1 No. 1 Transmission Oil Cooler Hose
      *2 No. 2 Transmission Oil Cooler Hose

      HINT: 

      Use a container to catch any fluid which flows out of the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose, No. 2 transmission oil cooler hose and oil cooler assembly.

  8. REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and oil cooler assembly from the oil cooler bracket.

      HINT: 

      Use a container to catch any fluid which flows out of the oil cooler assembly.

  9. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL THERMOSTAT 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the transmission oil thermostat is necessary.

    1. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose and No. 2 transmission oil cooler hose from the transmission oil thermostat.

      *2 No. 2 Transmission Oil Cooler Hose

      HINT: 

      Use a container to catch any fluid which flows out of the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose, No. 2 transmission oil cooler hose and transmission oil thermostat.

    2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 3 transmission oil cooler hose and outlet No. 1 oil cooler hose from the transmission oil thermostat.

      *2 Outlet No. 1 Oil Cooler Hose

      HINT: 

      Use a container to catch any fluid which flows out of the No. 3 transmission oil cooler hose, outlet No. 1 oil cooler hose and transmission oil thermostat.

    3. Remove the bolt and oil cooler bracket from the transmission oil thermostat.

    4. Remove the nut and transmission oil thermostat from the oil cooler bracket.

      HINT: 

      Use a container to catch any fluid which flows out of the transmission oil thermostat.

  10. REMOVE OIL COOLER BRACKET 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the oil cooler bracket is necessary.

    1. Remove the bolt and 2 nuts and disengage the guide to remove the oil cooler bracket from the vehicle body.
