Caution / Notice / Hint

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during transfer case oil seal removal/installation are shown below.

*: Even when not replacing the part, it is necessary to perform the specified necessary procedures after installation.

*1: Not necessary when ECM replaced with new one

*2: When the starter assembly is replaced, "ST relay" must be also replaced

*3: If the vehicle height has changed due to suspension or tire replacement

WARNING:
  • The engine assembly with transaxle is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair information, or the engine lifter may suddenly drop or the engine assembly with transaxle may fall off the engine lifter.

  • To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

  • The automatic transaxle assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair information, or the transmission jack may suddenly drop.

NOTE:

If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

HINT: 

When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.
