Removal [12/2019 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD (w/ Mudguard)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE QUARTER PANEL WHEEL OPENING MOULDING
HINT:
When removing the quarter panel wheel opening moulding, heat the vehicle body and quarter panel wheel opening moulding using a heat light.
Heating Temperature
Item Temperature Quarter Panel Wheel Opening Moulding and Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) WARNING:- Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
- Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.
*a Heated Part *b Heat Light NOTE:Do not heat the vehicle body and quarter panel wheel opening moulding excessively.
- Apply protective tape around the quarter panel wheel opening moulding as shown in the illustration.

Protective Tape - Remove the 3 clips.
- Remove the screw.
- While pulling the rear bumper assembly, insert a finger between the rear bumper side seal and rear bumper assembly and disengage the 3 claws as shown in the illustration.
*1 Rear Bumper Side Seal 
Remove in this Direction NOTE:- Do not apply excessive force when pulling back the rear bumper side seal.
- To avoid damaging the claws, do not forcibly pull the quarter panel wheel opening moulding.
- Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and quarter panel wheel opening moulding.
- Disengage the 4 clips and separate the double-sided tape to remove the quarter panel wheel opening moulding.
*a Double-sided Tape - w/ Mudguard:
- Remove the spring nut.
