Adjustment [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT REAR DOOR 
    1. Check that the clearance measurements of areas a through h are within each standard range.

      STANDARD CLEARANCE

      a 2.7 to 5.7 mm (0.106 to 0.224 in.) b 2.6 to 6.6 mm (0.102 to 0.260 in.)
      c -1.9 to 2.1 mm (-0.0748 to 0.0827 in.) d 2.85 to 6.25 mm (0.112 to 0.246 in.)
      e 2.25 to 6.25 mm (0.0886 to 0.246 in.) f 4.8 to 8.8 mm (0.189 to 0.346 in.)
      g 2.6 to 5.6 mm (0.102 to 0.220 in.) h 5.0 to 9.0 mm (0.197 to 0.354 in.)
  2. ADJUST REAR DOOR 
    NOTE:

    Make sure to turn the ignition switch off before adjusting the door lock strikers.

    1. Using SST, loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the vehicle body and adjust the door position.

      • SST: 09812-00020 
    2. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts on the vehicle body after adjustment.

      Torque: 26 N.m (265 kgf/cm, 19 ft.lbf) 

    3. Loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the door and adjust the door position.
    4. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts on the door after adjustment.

      Torque: 26 N.m (265 kgf/cm, 19 ft.lbf) 

    5. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, slightly loosen the 2 striker mounting screws.

    6. Using a brass bar and a hammer, hit the striker to adjust its position.
    7. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 striker mounting screws after adjustment.

      Torque: 23 N.m (235 kgf/cm, 17 ft.lbf)
