DTC B1574: GVIF Disconnected (from Park Assist/Monitoring ECU to EMV/MM Integrated Device) [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. Change the shift position to R and check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY - PARKING ASSIST ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the H104 multi-display assembly connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Multi-display Assembly)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Parking Assist ECU)
    2. Disconnect the H103 parking assist ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H104-2 (GV-) - H103-2 (GV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      H104-1 (GV+) - H103-1 (GV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H104-3 (GND) - H103-3 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      H104-2 (GV-) or H103-2 (GV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H104-1 (GV+) or H103-1 (GV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H104-3 (GND) or H103-3 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the multi-display assembly with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    3. Change the shift position to R and check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    END (MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE) 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]
