On-Vehicle Inspection [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT AND ADJUST FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR (When Using the GTS) 
    1. Select "Zero Down" on the "ECB Utility" screen.

      Chassis > Brake/EPB > Utility 

      Tester Display
      ECB Utility
    2. Enter "Next" and wait for 10 seconds.
    3. After the booster pump has stopped, check that the brake fluid level is between the MAX and MIN lines. If necessary, add brake fluid to the reservoir until the brake fluid level is at the MAX line.

      SAE J1704 or FMVSS No. 116 DOT4

  2. INSPECT AND ADJUST FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR (When Not Using the GTS) 
    1. Check that the fluid level is above the MIN line with the ignition switch ON. Adjust the brake fluid level of the reservoir so that it is between the MIN line and fluid level support line.
