Removal [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE BATTERY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  4. REMOVE COMPRESSOR INLET ELBOW SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector and 2 vacuum hoses from the vacuum regulating valve assembly.

    2. Disengage the clamp to separate the vacuum hose from the compressor inlet elbow sub-assembly.
    3. Remove the compressor inlet elbow sub-assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 VACUUM HOSE CONNECTOR 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, pull out the retainer as shown in the illustration.

    2. Pull off the No. 1 vacuum hose connector.

      Pull off
  6. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and vacuum pump assembly from the engine assembly.

    2. Remove the No. 1 vacuum pump O-ring from the vacuum pump assembly.
