Installation [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install a new water pump gasket and the engine water pump assembly with the 15 bolts.

      Bolt (A) 

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

      Bolt (B) 

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

      Bolt (C) 

      Torque: 11 N.m (112 kgf/cm, 8 ft.lbf) 

      Standard Length

      Item Length
      Bolt (A) 60 mm (2.36 in.)
      Bolt (B) 55 mm (2.17 in.)
      Bolt (C) 22 mm (0.866 in.)
      NOTE:
      • Make sure that there is no oil on the threads of the bolts (A) and (B).
      • Do not start the engine for at least 1 hour after installation.
  2. INSTALL WATER PUMP PULLEY 
    1. Temporarily install the water pump pulley with the 4 bolts.
    2. Using a screwdriver or equivalent with its tip wrapped in protective tape, hold the water pump pulley.

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Hold
      *c Turn
    3. Fully tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the No. 2 idler pulley sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 54 N.m (551 kgf/cm, 40 ft.lbf) 

  4. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. INSTALL WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2019 - 10/2022]
