On-Vehicle Inspection [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

- INSPECT CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY
- Put the engine in Inspection Mode (Maintenance Mode).
Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Utility
Tester Display Inspection Mode - Start the engine.
- According to the display on the GTS, perform the Active Test and check the engine speed while operating the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly.
Powertrain > Engine > Active Test
Tester Display Control the Exhaust VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1 Standard Condition
GTS Operation Engine Condition 0% Normal engine speed 100% Engine idles roughly or stalls HINT:
- Refer to "Data List / Active Test" [Exhaust VVT Hold Learn Value Bank 1, Exhaust VVT Change Angle Bank 1, Exhaust VVT OCV Control Duty Ratio Bank 1 and Exhaust VVT Target Angle Bank 1].
Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [12/2019 - 09/2020] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [09/2020 - 10/2021] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [10/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2023 - 11/2024] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2024 - ]
- Test not possible with the shift lever in P during charge control. Move the shift lever to N to perform test.
- If the DTCs are stored after the Active Test, clear the DTCs.
If the result is not as specified, check the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly, wire harness and ECM.
- Refer to "Data List / Active Test" [Exhaust VVT Hold Learn Value Bank 1, Exhaust VVT Change Angle Bank 1, Exhaust VVT OCV Control Duty Ratio Bank 1 and Exhaust VVT Target Angle Bank 1].
- Put the engine in Inspection Mode (Maintenance Mode).
