DTC P05A2-12: Active Grille Air Shutter "A" Circuit Short to Battery [10/2022 - 11/2023]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM UTILITY USING GTS (SWITCH GRILLE SHUTTER CONTROL MODE) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
    2. According to the display on the GTS, change the grille shutter control mode from normal mode to maintenance mode.

      Powertrain > Engine > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Switch Grille Shutter Control Mode

      Result

      Proceed to

  2. PERFORM UTILITY USING GTS (GRILLE SHUTTER INITIALIZATION) 
    1. According to the display on the GTS, perform initialization (nominal torque).

      Powertrain > Engine > Utility

  3. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs 

    2. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

  4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DTC P05A2-12) 
    1. Read the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

      HINT: 

      Perform "Switch Grille Shutter Control Mode and Grille Shutter Initialization" after replacing the radiator shutter assembly.

  5. READ VALUE USING GTS (GRILLE SHUTTER CONTROL MODE) 
    1. According to the display on the GTS, change the grille shutter control mode from maintenance mode to normal mode.

    2. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

      Powertrain > Engine > Data List
