DTC C1625: Open or Short in Steering Angle Sensor +B [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING SENSOR POWER SOURCE AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the H57 steering sensor connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Steering Sensor)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H57-6 (ESS) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      H57-9 (IG1) - H57-6 (ESS) Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V*1
      10.5 to 16 V*2
      H57-4 (BAT) - H57-6 (ESS) Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V

      *1: w/o Stop and Start System

      *2: w/ Stop and Start System

      NG (w/o Stop and Start System) B
      NG (w/ Stop and Start System) C

    Result: 

    A 

    REPLACE STEERING SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022] 

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    C 

    GO TO STOP AND START SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2019 - 10/2022]
