Wiper and Washer Switch Circuit [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Chassis > Steering Angle Sensor > Data List

  2. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the windshield wiper switch assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

    2. Inspect the windshield wiper switch assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH HOUSING 
    1. Remove the steering wheel switch housing.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

    2. Inspect the steering wheel switch housing.

      Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE STEERING WHEEL SWITCH HOUSING. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING SENSOR - WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the A7 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the H57 steering sensor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H57-2 (2S) - A7-3 (2S) Always Below 1 Ω
      H57-2 (2S) or A7-3 (2S) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
