DTC P1589-54: G Sensor Zero Point Calibration Incomplete [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Description

If the vehicle is driven before calibration of the deceleration sensor zero point is performed, the engine stop and start ECU stores DTC P1589-54 and blinks the stop and start cancel indicator.

P1589-54 G Sensor Zero Point Calibration Incomplete Both of the following conditions are met for 5 seconds or more (1 trip detection logic):
  • The vehicle speed is 3 km/h (2 mph) or more and skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) communication is normal.
  • Deceleration sensor zero point calibration is incomplete.
  • The deceleration sensor zero point calibration has not been performed.
  • Airbag Sensor assembly (deceleration sensor)
  • Engine stop and start ECU
