Interior Light Circuit [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS 
    1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test

      • Map Light Assembly
      • Spot Light Assembly LH
      • Spot Light Assembly RH
      • No. 1 Room Light Assembly
      		 OFF or ON Perform the Active Test with the door linked switch of the map light assembly on.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test 

      Tester Display
      Illuminated Entry System

      OK

      All lights that are controlled by the illuminated entry system come on.

  2. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the 8C power distribution box assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R11-10 (+B1) - 8C-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      R11-10 (+B1) or 8C-4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [11/2023 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the 8C power distribution box assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R11-10 (+B1) - 8C-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      R11-10 (+B1) or 8C-4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)) 
    1. Disconnect the H135 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R11-3 (DOOR) - H135-5 (ILE) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]
