Push Start Switch Illumination Circuit [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS 
    1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Smart Key > Active Test

      Body Electrical > Smart Key > Active Test

      Push start switch illumination comes on.

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [11/2023 - ]

  2. INSPECT PUSH START SWITCH 

    for Gasoline Model: Refer to INSPECTION [11/2023 - ]

    except Gasoline Model: Refer to INSPECTION [11/2023 - ]

    REPLACE PUSH START SWITCH 

    for Gasoline Model: Refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

    except Gasoline Model: Refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PUSH START SWITCH - CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)) 
    1. Disconnect the H138 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR GASOLINE MODEL

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H139-5 (SWIL) - H138-20 (SWIL) Always Below 1 Ω
      H139-3 (GND) - H138-30 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      H139-5 (SWIL) or H138-20 (SWIL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H139-3 (GND) or H138-30 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      EXCEPT GASOLINE MODEL

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H140-5 (SWIL) - H138-20 (SWIL) Always Below 1 Ω
      H140-3 (GND) - H138-30 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      H140-5 (SWIL) or H138-20 (SWIL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H140-3 (GND) or H138-30 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
