DTC C2128: Auto ID Under Registration [12/2019 - 11/2023]: Procedure
- CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Check if the electronically controlled brake system DTCs are output.
Chassis > Brake/EPB > Trouble Codes
HINT:
If DTC C2128 is stored, electronically controlled brake system DTCs may also be stored. If electronically controlled brake system DTCs are stored, perform troubleshooting for the electronically controlled brake system before performing ID registration via the automatic ID registration function.

- REGISTRATION OF TRANSMITTER ID (ID REGISTRATION VIA AUTOMATIC ID REGISTRATION FUNCTION)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Perform ID registration for the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver (ID registration via the automatic ID registration function).

Explain to the customer that the time required for registration to complete varies depending on the driving conditions and circumstances.
HINT:
Registration may take longer than normal in the following situations.
- The vehicle is stopped frequently
- The vehicle is stopped for long period of time
- The vehicle is driven in reverse
- The vehicle is driven on rough roads or uneven surfaces
- The vehicle was not stopped for 15 minutes or more before registration
- The vehicle is driven at 40 km/h (25 mph) or less for a long period of time
- The ignition switch is turned off during ID registration
