Blind Spot Monitor Sensor Communication Stop Mode [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the M43 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M43-2 (CA1P) - M43-7 (CA1N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH)

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M43-10 (BLGD) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

    1. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      M43-5 (BLB) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10.5 to 16 V

    GO TO STOP AND START SYSTEM (FOR BACKUP BOOST CONVERTER CIRCUIT) 

    Refer to Backup Boost Converter Circuit [12/2019 - 10/2022]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M43-5 (BLB) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
