Disassembly [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disengage the claw and guide to remove the map light bracket.
    3. Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear assembly.

  2. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the screw.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
    2. Disengage the guide in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.
    3. Disengage the 2 claws in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to remove the sliding roof piece sub-assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

    4. Remove the rear sliding roof sunshade stopper as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

    5. Slide and remove the sunshade trim sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  3. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction - -
    2. Slide and remove the rear roof drip channel as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    3. Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

      Hold Position
    4. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, slide the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to remove it.

      Push Position Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
