DTC B2285: Steering Lock Position Signal Circuit Malfunction [10/2021 - 10/2022]: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) - DCM - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the H48 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
- Disconnect the H11 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition H48-14 (SLP) - H11-30 (SLPD) Always Below 1 Ω H48-14 (SLP) or H11-30 (SLPD) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)
- Check the push-button start function.
- Enter the vehicle while carrying an electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.
- Depress the brake pedal with the shift lever in P.
- Check that the engine starts when the engine switch is pressed.
