DTC B2285: Steering Lock Position Signal Circuit Malfunction [10/2021 - 10/2022]: Description

This DTC is stored when there is no continuity between terminal SLP of the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) and ground.

 DTC Output Confirmation Operation: 
  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, wait 30 seconds and then reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Wait at least 40 seconds with the ignition switch off, then turn the ignition switch ON and wait at least 40 seconds.
  1. *1: Only detected while a malfunction is present and the ignition switch is ON.
  2. *2: for Toyota Entune Remote Connect Compatible Type
