Power Steering ECU Communication Stop Mode [12/2019 - 11/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RACK AND PINION POWER STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the C67 rack and pinion power steering gear assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C67-10 (CANH) - C67-11 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      C67-4 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10.5 to 16 V

    GO TO STOP AND START SYSTEM (FOR BACKUP BOOST CONVERTER CIRCUIT) 

    Refer to Backup Boost Converter Circuit [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to Backup Boost Converter Circuit [10/2022 - 11/2023]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
