Tire Pressure Monitor ECU Communication Stop Mode [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the M51 tire pressure warning ECU and receiver connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M51-9 (CANH) - M51-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER)

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M51-12 (GND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      M51-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10.5 to 16 V
      M51-7 (+B) - Body ground Always 10.5 to 16 V

    GO TO STOP AND START SYSTEM (FOR BACKUP BOOST CONVERTER CIRCUIT) 

    Refer to Backup Boost Converter Circuit [11/2023 - ]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
