VSC does not Operate or VSC does not Operate Correctly [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. BRAKE PROBLEM CHECK
    1. Check whether the slip indicator light was illuminated when VSC did not operate.

      OK

The slip indicator light was illuminated.

      HINT:

When a DTC is stored, the slip indicator light is illuminated and VSC does not operate due to the fail-safe function.

    2. Check whether the vehicle speed was 15 km/h (9 mph) or less when VSC did not operate.

      OK

The vehicle speed was 15 km/h (9 mph) or less.

      HINT:

VSC does not operate when the vehicle speed is 15 km/h (9 mph) or less.

    3. Check whether the vehicle was driven straight for a few seconds at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more.

      OK

The vehicle was not driven straight for a few seconds at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more.

      HINT:

When the ignition switch is turned to ON, as steering angle sensor zero point calibration is not performed below 35 km/h (22 mph), VSC will not operate until the vehicle is driven straight for a few seconds at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more.
