DTC C0506-14: Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Short to Ground or Open [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (MOMENTARY INTERRUPTION)
    1. Select the line graph display on the GTS.
    2. Check for any momentary interruption in the wire harness and connector.

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [12/2019 - 11/2023] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2023 - ]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SPEED SENSOR RH - BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY)
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.

      OK

      The connector is securely connected.

    3. Disconnect the A40 front speed sensor RH connector.
    4. Disconnect the A39 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
    5. Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.

      OK

      No deformation or corrosion.

    6. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A40-1 (FR+) - A39-7 (FR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A40-1 (FR+) or A39-7 (FR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A40-2 (FR-) - A39-6 (FR-) Always Below 1 Ω
A40-2 (FR-) or A39-6 (FR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
