DTC Summary

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area MIL Memory Note
P1422-00 Evaporative Emission Fuel Tank (Small Leak) Leak detection pump creates negative pressure (vacuum) in fuel tank and fuel tank pressure is measured. Reference pressure is measured at the start and at end of leak check.
If stabilized pressure is higher than third reference pressure, ECM determines that fuel tank has a small leak.
  • EVAP leak (fuel tank - fuel vapor-containment valve)
  • Fuel vapor-containment valve
  • Connector/wire harness (fuel vapor-containment valve - ECM)
  • ECM
Comes on DTC stored
  • SAE Code: P1422
  • DTC for Mexico Models: Does not apply
P1423-00 Evaporative Emission Fuel Tank (Gross Leak) Leak detection pump creates negative pressure (vacuum) in fuel tank and fuel tank pressure is measured. Reference pressure is measured at the start and at end of leak check.
If stabilized pressure is higher than [third reference pressure x 0.2], ECM determines that fuel tank has a large leak.
  • EVAP leak (fuel tank - fuel vapor-containment valve)
  • Fuel vapor-containment valve
  • Connector/wire harness (fuel vapor-containment valve - ECM)
  • ECM
Comes on DTC stored
  • SAE Code: P1423
  • DTC for Mexico Models: Does not apply
