DTC P0606-47: Control Module Processor Watchdog/Safety MCU Failure [10/2022 - 11/2023]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs 

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

  2. READ OUTPUT DTC (DTC P0606-47) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.
    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Wait 1 second or more.
    4. Read the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTC P0606-47 is output B

    Result: 

    A 

    CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 

    Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [12/2019 - ]

    REPLACE ECM 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]
