DTC P00B1-15: Radiator Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit Short to Battery or Open [10/2022 - 11/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 2 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    REPLACE NO. 2 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A54-2 (THW3) - C55-129 (THTW) Always Below 1 Ω
      A54-1 (E2) - C55-130 (ETHT) Always Below 1 Ω
      A54-2 (THW3) or C55-129 (THTW) - Other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
