DTC P0069-00: Manifold Absolute Pressure - Barometric Pressure Correlation [10/2022 - 11/2023]: Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P0069-00)
    1. Read the DTCs.

Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC P0069-00 is output A
DTC P0069-00 and other DTCs are output B

      HINT:

If any DTCs other than P0069-00 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

    Result:

GO TO DTC CHART  . Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2022 - 11/2023]

    Result:

    See step  2

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (INTAKE MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE)
    1. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 50 minutes.
    2. Using the following table, determine the normal atmospheric pressure for the current altitude and temperature.

      HINT:

      • Standard atmospheric pressure is approximately 101 kPa (abs) [15 psi (abs)].
      • For every 100 m (328 ft.) increase in altitude, atmospheric pressure drops by approximately 1 kPa (0.1 psi). This varies depending on the weather.
    3. Compare the value of the Data List item Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure with the actual atmospheric pressure.

Powertrain > Engine > Data List

      Tester Display
      Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure

      Result

      Result Proceed to
Approximately the same as the actual atmospheric pressure A
Not approximately the same as the actual atmospheric pressure B

    Result:

    REPLACE MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

    Result:

    See step  3

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE)
    1. Using the following table, determine the normal atmospheric pressure for the current altitude and temperature.

      Atmospheric Pressure

      Result

      Result Proceed to
Approximately the same as the actual atmospheric pressure A
Not approximately the same as the actual atmospheric pressure B

    Result:

    CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [12/2019 - ]

    Result:

    REPLACE ECM

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]
