DTC B15D6: Display Disconnected (Multi Display) [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Check for optional components.
      1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

        Result

        HINT: 

        • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.
        • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
      NOTE:

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

  3. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > D-SEAT SW > Clear DTCs 

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > D-SEAT SW > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the H7 multi-display assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H7-13 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY - MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the H8 integration control sub-assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the H7 multi-display assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H8-18 (TX+) - H7-7 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H8-40 (TX-) - H7-19 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      H8-18 (TX+) or H7-7 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H8-40 (TX-) or H7-19 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  6. REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the multi-display assembly with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > D-SEAT SW > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > D-SEAT SW > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]
