Reverse Signal Circuit [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK BACK-UP LIGHT 
    1. Move the shift lever to R and check if the back-up lights come on.

      OK

      The back-up lights come on.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM 

    w/ AFS: Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2019 - 11/2023]

    w/o AFS: Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2019 - 11/2023]

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REVERSE SIGNAL) 
    1. Disconnect the H4 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H4-28 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON
      Shift lever in R
      11 to 14 V
      H4-28 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON
      Shift lever not in R
      Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK
