AVC-LAN Circuit [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the radio and display receiver assembly.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *A w/ Stereo Component Amplifier Assembly
      *B w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System
      *a Component without harness connected
      (Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H1-5 (TX1+) - H1-6 (TX1-)*1 Always 60 to 80 Ω
      H1-19 (TX+) - H1-20 (TX-)*2 Always 60 to 80 Ω
      1. *1: w/ Stereo Component Amplifier Assembly
      2. *2: w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System

      Result

      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AVC-LAN CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the H1 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the M38 stereo component amplifier assembly connector (w/ Stereo Component Amplifier Assembly).
    3. Disconnect the R16 television display assembly connector (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System).
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M38-8 (TX+) - H1-5 (TX1+)*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      M38-7 (TX-) - H1-6 (TX1-)*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      M38-8 (TX+) or H1-5 (TX1+) - Body ground*1 Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M38-7 (TX-) or H1-6 (TX1-) - Body ground*1 Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R16-4 (TX+) - H1-19 (TX+)*2 Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-5 (TX-) - H1-20 (TX-)*2 Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-4 (TX+) or H1-19 (TX+) - Body ground*2 Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R16-5 (TX-) or H1-20 (TX-) - Body ground*2 Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1. *1: w/ Stereo Component Amplifier Assembly
      2. *2: w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. INSPECT MALFUNCTIONING PARTS 
    1. Disconnect and reconnect each slave unit one by one until the master unit returns to normal.

      HINT: 

      • Check all slave units.
      • If disconnecting a slave unit causes the master unit to return to normal, the slave unit is defective and should be replaced.

      OK

      Master unit returns to normal.

    REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS
