DTC C1AB4-13: Outer Mirror Indicator (Module "B" Side) Circuit Open [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  2. CHECK DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor "B" > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH (B) AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the M43 blind spot monitor sensor LH (B) connector.
    2. Disconnect the J37 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M43-4 (OMIL) - J37-3 (BSL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J37-11 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the B outer mirror LH (outer rear view mirror indicator LH) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J37-3 (BSL+) - B-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J37-11 (E) - B-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

  5. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR LH (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR LH) 

    Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

  6. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor "B" > Trouble Codes

      C1AB4-13 is output B

    Result:

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH [B] AND BODY GROUND)

    1. Disconnect the M43 blind spot monitor sensor LH (B) connector.
    2. Disconnect the J23 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M43-4 (OMIL) - J23-13 (BDSL) Always Below 1 Ω
      J23-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
