DTC P2600-9E: Motor/Generator Coolant Pump "A" Control Circuit Stuck On [12/2019 - 11/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT RELAY (OIL PMP)

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - OIL PMP RELAY) 
    1. Disconnect the A31 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
    2. Remove the OIL PMP relay from the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A31-12 (OPM2) or 1 (OIL PMP relay holder) - Body ground and other terminals Ignition switch off Below 1 V
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force when using the probes of the tester to perform the inspection. If excessive force is used, the terminals will be damaged.

    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A31-12 (OPM2) or 1 (OIL PMP relay holder) - Body ground and other terminals Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force when using the probes of the tester to perform the inspection. If excessive force is used, the terminals will be damaged.
      • Turning the ignition switch to ON with the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector and OIL PMP relay disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
    6. Turn the ignition switch off.
    7. Install the OIL PMP relay.
    8. Reconnect the A31 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

      Result

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OIL PMP RELAY - OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the C38 oil pump with motor assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C38-4 (L) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      C38-4 (L) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
      NOTE:

      Turning the ignition switch to ON with the oil pump with motor assembly connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

    5. Turn the ignition switch off.
    6. Reconnect the C38 oil pump with motor assembly connector.

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023]
