  1. MALFUNCTION DESCRIPTION 

    The motor generator control ECU (MG ECU), which is built into the inverter with converter assembly, and the airbag sensor assembly detect that a collision has occurred and the motor generator control ECU (MG ECU) built into the inverter with converter assembly outputs a DTC. A collision information signal is also sent to the hybrid vehicle control ECU, which then shuts off the main relay.

    The cause of this DTC may be one of the following:

    • Collision is detected
    • Detection sensor system malfunction
      • Airbag system malfunction
      • Inverter with converter assembly malfunction
      • Communication malfunction between airbag sensor assembly and inverter with converter assembly
