  1. CHECK VEHICLE FOR COLLISION DAMAGE 
    1. Check the vehicle condition.

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Powertrain > Motor Generator > Trouble Codes

      P1606-00 or P1606-04 only is output, or DTCs except the ones in the table below are also output. A
      DTC including pending DTC of hybrid control system in the tables below is output. B
      DTC including pending DTC of motor generator control system in the tables below is output. C

      HINT: 

      P1606-00 or P1606-04 may be output as a result of the malfunction indicated by the DTCs above.

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (MOTOR GENERATOR) 
    1. Check for DTCs.

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.

      Malfunction Content Relevant DTC
      Communication System Malfunction P322F-15 Lost Communication between Drive Motor "A" and HV ECU Missing Message

      HINT: 

      • P1606-04 may be output as a result of the malfunction indicated by the DTCs above.
      • If only DTC P1606-04 is output, perform the diagnostic procedure of DTC P322F-15 to inspect if there is an open or short to +B in the communication circuit.
    2. Turn the ignition switch off.
