  1. MALFUNCTION DESCRIPTION 

    This DTC indicates that a large current flowed in the inverter generator. The cause of this malfunction may be one of the following:

    Area Main Malfunction Description
    Hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly
    • Open or short circuit in the generator coils
    • Generator (MG1) internal malfunction (iron particles or damage from foreign objects)
    Resolver Open or short circuit in the generator resolver
    Inverter 
    • Inverter internal circuit malfunction
    • Malfunction in ECU that controls the inverter
    • Inverter control sensor (current sensor, VH sensor, VL sensor)
    Inverter cooling system
    • Inverter water pump assembly malfunction
    • Coolant leak
    • Coolant frozen
    • Blockage
