DTC B1537-11: Telephone Sub Antenna Circuit Short to Ground; DTC B1537-13: Telephone Sub Antenna Circuit Open [12/2019 - 11/2024]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 10 seconds or more.
    4. Turn the GTS on.
    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Telematics > Clear DTCs 

    6. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Telematics > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK 

    Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2019 - ]

  2. INSPECT TELEPHONE AND GPS ANTENNA (FOR FRONT SIDE) 
    1. Remove the telephone and GPS antenna (for Front Side).

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Telephone and GPS Antenna (for Front Side))

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4 - 4a Always 9 to 11 kΩ

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE TELEPHONE AND GPS ANTENNA (FOR FRONT SIDE) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT TELEPHONE AND GPS ANTENNA CORD (NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the D telephone and GPS antenna cord (No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly) connector.

      (Telephone and GPS Antenna Cord (No. 2 Antenna Cord Sub-assembly))
    2. Disconnect the A telephone and GPS antenna cord (No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D-4 - A-1 (TEL SUB) Always Below 1 Ω
      D-4 or A-1 (TEL SUB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D-4a - A-1a Always Below 1 Ω
      D-4a or A-1a - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result:

    REPLACE TELEPHONE AND GPS ANTENNA CORD (NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - 11/2024]

    Result: 

    OK

  4. REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Replace the DCM (telematics transceiver) with a new one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

      NOTE:
      • The ignition switch must be off.
      • Do not exchange the DCM (telematics transceiver) with one from another vehicle.
