Steering Pad Switch Circuit [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Powertrain > Radar Cruise 1 > Data List

  2. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]

    2. Inspect the steering pad switch assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]

  3. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]

    2. Inspect the spiral cable sub-assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

    Result:

    REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 10/2022]

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - ECM AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A28 ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H24-13 (CCS) - A28-41 (CCS) Always Below 1 Ω
      H24-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      H24-13 (CCS) or A28-41 (CCS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result:

    REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - 09/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2020 - 10/2022]
