Removal [12/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2023 - ]

  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR FINISH PANEL COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [12/2019 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [10/2022 - 11/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [11/2023 - ]

  5. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    If the license plate light assembly has been removed, replace the license plate light packing with a new one.

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the license plate light assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  6. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT PACKING 
    1. Remove the license plate light packing.

      NOTE:

      Do not reuse the removed license plate light packing. Be sure to install a new license plate light packing to prevent water ingress.

  7. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT BULB 
    1. Insert a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape into the license plate light lens hole, tilt it as shown in the illustration and disengage the 2 claws to remove the license plate light lens.

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Insert into the hole
      *c License Plate Light Lens Hole
    2. Remove the license plate light bulb.
