Inspection [12/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT SNOW SWITCH (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Snow Switch (Pattern Select Switch))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      5 (2ND) - 2 (E) Snow switch on (Push) Below 1 Ω
      Snow switch off (Release) 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the snow switch (pattern select switch).

    2. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the snow switch (pattern select switch), and check the illumination condition of the snow switch (pattern select switch).

      Standard

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 6 (ILL+)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (ILL-)      		 Illuminates

      (Snow Switch (Pattern Select Switch))

      If the result is not as specified, replace the snow switch (pattern select switch).

  2. INSPECT NO. 1 PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (No. 1 Pattern Select Switch Assembly)
      "DRIVE MODE +" Side
      "DRIVE MODE -" Side

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      7 (SEL) - 5 (E) Pushed and held at "DRIVE MODE +" side Below 50 Ω
      Released (neutral position) 10 kΩ or higher
      6 (E) - 5 (E) Pushed and held at "DRIVE MODE -" side Below 50 Ω
      Released (neutral position) 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 pattern select switch assembly.

    2. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the No. 1 pattern select switch assembly, and check the illumination condition of the No. 1 pattern select switch assembly.

      Standard

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (ILL+)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (ILL-)      		 Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 pattern select switch assembly.
