DTC B1642: Side Satellite Sensor Bus Lost Communication (RH); DTC B1643: Side Satellite Sensor Bus Initialization Error (RH) [12/2019 - 11/2023]: Description

The side collision sensor RH circuit (bus 1) consists of the airbag sensor assembly, side airbag sensor assembly RH and rear airbag sensor RH.

The side airbag sensor assembly RH and rear airbag sensor RH detect impacts to the vehicle and send signals to the airbag sensor assembly to determine if the airbags, pretensioners and selectable force limiter should be deployed.

These DTCs are stored when a malfunction is detected in the side collision sensor RH circuit (bus 1).
