      HINT:

If DTCs in the table above are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

    Result:

GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2023 - ]

    Result:

    See step  2

  2. CLEAR DTC

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    3. Replace the side airbag sensor assembly RH with a new one or known good one.

      HINT:

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

      HINT:

      • When using a new part, since the side airbag sensor assembly LH and RH have the same part number, prepare either one.
      • Use the prepared side airbag sensor assembly to check the side airbag sensor assembly LH as well.
    4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
    5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
