DTC B009E-85: Right Side Restraints Sensor 5 Signal Above Allowable Range [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

Pre-procedure1

1. Turn the ignition switch off.

   *1	Side Airbag Sensor Assembly LH
   *2	Rear Airbag Sensor RH
   *3	Wire Harness

2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
3. Interchange the side airbag sensor assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors to them.
4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

   Procedure1

6. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

   Result

   Proceed to

   Post-procedure1

7. Turn the ignition switch off.

Result:

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

   Procedure1

2. Check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   B009E-85 is output	A
   B009B-85 is output	B
   B009B-85 and B009E-85 are not output	C

   HINT: 

   Codes other than DTCs B009B-85 and B009E-85 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

   Post-procedure1

3. Turn the ignition switch off.
4. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
5. Return the side airbag sensor assembly LH and RH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.

REPLACE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]
